Abstract
The authors present recent PHENIX measurements of the production of identified charged hadrons ( \({{\pi }^{ \pm }}\) , \({{K}^{ \pm }}\) , \(p\) , \(\bar {p}\) ) in \(p\) + Al, 3He + Au, and Cu + Au collisions at \(\sqrt {{{s}_{{NN}}}} \) = 200 GeV and in U + U collisions at \(\sqrt {{{s}_{{NN}}}} \) = 193 GeV. The measured ratios of \(p{\text{/}}~{{\pi }^{ + }}\) and \(\bar {p}{\text{/}}{{\pi }^{ - }}\) yields are compared to predictions made with the AMPT (string melting version) and PYTHIA/ANGANTYR program packages. Integral ratios of \(p{\text{/}}~{{\pi }^{ + }}\) , \(\bar {p}{\text{/}}{{\pi }^{ - }}\) , \({{K}^{ + }}{\text{/}}{{\pi }^{ + }}\) , \({{K}^{ - }}{\text{/}}{{\pi }^{ - }}\) yields are presented as functions of the number of nucleons participating in nucleus–nucleus interactions.
