Abstract
Acrocordia conoidea (Fr.) Kӧrb., and Porina coarctata P.M. McCarthy & H. Harada are reported as new records from Indian biota. A. conoidea is characterized by wide-spreading involucrellum, cylindrical asci and spores with pointed and rounded ends whereas P. coarctata is characterized by very thin and inconspicuous thallus, small 3-septate ascospores, small blackish perithecia that are commonly aggregated in clusters. The present study provides a detailed description, distribution, and illustration of both species.
