Earliella scabrosa Representing the First Genus Record in Pakistan, and Pilatotrama ljubarskyi the First Record from Narowal District, Pakistan
摘要
Thirteen basidiomata of polypore fungi were collected from Narowal, Punjab, Pakistan, during the monsoon season between 2018 and 2022. These were studied based on morpho-anatomical characters and molecular phylogenetic analysis using the DNA sequences of internal transcribed spacer regions of the nuclear ribosomal RNA gene. The nine specimens were found morphologically and anatomically similar to Earliella scabrosa and four to Pilatotrama ljubarskyi. The phylogenetic tree, constructed using the Maximum Likelihood method, confirmed their positions by grouping them with previously known specimens that share similar morpho-anatomical characteristics with E. scabrosa and P. ljubarskyi. Earliella scabrosa represents the first genus record from Pakistan while P. ljubarskyi is described for the first time on the basis of detailed morpho-anatomical and molecular data.
