The Elasto-Hydrodynamic Problem of Point Contact Lubrication in the Presence of a Thin Layer of Viscoelastic Coating
摘要
Abstract
The problem of rolling an elastic ball on the surface of a viscoelastic layer in the presence of a thin layer of lubricant separating them is considered. The viscoelastic layer is located on a rigid base. The one-dimensional Kelvin model of a viscoelastic solid is used as a rheological model of the viscoelastic layer. The influence of viscoelastic properties of the coating on the pressure in the lubricating layer and its thickness was investigated.
