Improving the Surface Quality of Gear Trains by Combined Finishing Treatment
摘要
Abstract
When manufacturing gears and gear trains, a significant amount of scrap is generated due to thermal burns and cracks. This article presents a combined finishing process aimed at reducing defects, that is, burns and thermal cracks, on the involute surface of gear trains. Theoretical studies have been conducted to investigate the influence of combined finishing processing parameters on the temperature in the cutting zone, as well as the magnitude and sign of residual stresses after the combined finishing treatment. A comparison of the obtained values with experimental studies has been made.
