Abstract <p>The article discusses the relationship between modern human population genetics, medical genetics, and personalized and evolutionary medicine. It is shown that population genomics data are one of the foundations for the development and implementation of personalized approaches in medicine. The importance of evolutionary medicine as a developing area of modern biomedicine aimed at studying human diseases and health in an evolutionary context is demonstrated.</p>
