摘要

Abstract

STR (Short tandem repeats) are usually used in forensic DNA technology applied in humen identification, paternity testing and population genetics analysis. The COrDIS EXPERT, includes 23 autosomal STRs, was used to analyze STR genotyping of the Arab subpopulation resident in Russia. Whole blood samples were withdrawn from 98 Arab individuals, and genomic DNA was extracted from each sample. The COrDIS EXPERT PCR Amplification Kit used to amplify and analyze the STR loci on the 3130xl Genetic Analyzer by Gene Mapper ID-X software. The combined match probability (CMP) for the autosomal STR loci was calculated to be (1.7291X1026), which is highly informative. The higher and lower discriminative power loci were D18S51 (0.963) and D5S818, respectively. In conclusion, this study indicates that the COrDIS EXPERT loci have a high utility in the Arab population resident in Russia, possibly used for establishment of a reference population database.
