Morphometric Parameters and State of the Antioxidant System of Wheat Shoot upon Treatment with the New Agrokor Product under Moderate Drought Conditions

The development and use of various growth-stimulating drugs is a promising direction for increasing the yield of agricultural crops. This paper examines the effect of a new complex organo-mineral preparation, which was given the name Agrokor, in comparison with the well-known Gumi and succinic acid on the morphometric parameters and components of the antioxidant system of bread wheat shoots under normal and moderate drought. It has been established that spraying leaves with these preparations helps to increase the size of leaves. Moreover, treatment of shoots with the Agrokor preparation increases the raw and dry mass of the shoot, compared to the control, Gumi, and succinic acid. It has been shown that presowing treatment of seeds with Agrokor followed by moderate drought significantly increases the percentage of plants that have begun to ear compared to the control but does not affect the morphometric parameters of these plants. Spraying shoots with Agrokor, Gumi, and succinic acid does not increase the rate of appearance of new leaves, both under normal conditions and during drought. Treatment of shoots with these preparations and presowing treatment of seeds with Agrokor helps to increase the overall antioxidant capacity, the content of water-soluble sugars, and the activity of glutathione-S-transferase and reduce the content of hydrogen peroxide and malondialdehyde in shoots. The results indicate the potential of the new complex fertilizer Agrokor for improving the growth parameters of bread wheat, including in conditions of moderate drought.
