Political Ideologies in the Context of Digital Transformations
摘要
The study sets out to identify the features of modern political ideologies associated with global digital transformations. The methodological framework used is the remythologization approach and a refined version of L. Althusser’s approach to ideology. The remythologization approach is based on the assumption that the ongoing digitalization of society gives rise to significant remythologization: a revival of elements of the mythological mode of thinking. Digital technology corporations are considered as specific intellectual ideological apparatuses that form the conditions for digital transformations of most modern political ideologies. It is determined that an important role in these transformations is played by the polyvalent phenomenon of the ideologization of the meme. An analysis of cybercommunism, cyberlibertarianism, cyberanarchism, cyberfascism, and neo-reaction has led to the conclusion that the digital environment contributes to remythologization of political consciousness, a process that involves greater reliance on flexible mythological constructs rather than strict ideological dogmas. The study identifies, on the one hand, the key features of modern political ideologies as they change under the influence of digital transformations and, on the other hand, their similarities with conventional ideological constructs. It is shown that all these ideologies consider digital media and technologies as tools for qualitative socio-political transformations in the future.
