Abstract <p>This study examines the prospects for standardizing quality management in civil aviation, a priority for enhancing the competitiveness of Russian avionics under import substitution. The research aims to identify the trend in adopting Russian national equivalents of the ISO 9000 series of international quality management standards within the country’s aviation industry. Using directed search, systematic analysis of scholarly publications, and comparative analysis of requirements across different versions of ISO 9000 standards and their Russian equivalents, the study confirms the successful progress of quality management standardization in Russian civil aviation. The key finding is a consistent reduction in the time required to develop and implement new Russian national equivalents of updated ISO 9000 standards. This trend of accelerated harmonization contributes to the standardization of avionics, speeds up its improvement under import substitution, and allows for the rapid enhancement of Russian avionics' quality and investment attractiveness. Timely alignment with new international standards ensures the global competitiveness of Russian avionics and the success of import substitution despite sanctions, thereby stimulating investment in innovative avionics technologies and domestic production growth.</p>
