Abstract <p>In the era of digitalization and rapid technological advancement, sustainable development is becoming a critical factor for the successful implementation of IT projects. The GPM P5 standard developed by Green Project Management offers a comprehensive approach to project management based on the principles of sustainability. This article examines the potential for applying the GPM P5 standard to IT projects, analyzes its distinctive features and differences from traditional project management standards such as PMBOK, and assesses practical aspects of its implementation in current conditions. Special attention is given to the strengths and weaknesses of GPM P5 in the context of IT projects, as well as to practical aspects of its implementation.</p>
