Abstract <p>Regional experiences in climate change adaptation are analyzed. This includes information on the challenges encountered in the development and implementation of Regional Climate Change Adaptation Plans, the reasons for adjusting the deadlines for action items, and information on the most effective measures implemented and the results achieved. In addition, factors that contribute to the most effective and timely implementation of Regional Plan activities are examined. The results highlight common trends and issues requiring systematic solutions at the federal and regional levels. General proposals are formulated for improving the quality of development and updating Regional Climate Change Adaptation Plans and enhancing the effectiveness of the measures envisaged in the plans.</p>
