Abstract <p>The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of the National Defense Authorization Acts in the formation of the US anti-China strategy and military policy. Special attention is paid to the provisions aimed at countering China’s growing military, economic, and technological influence. Key initiatives, such as the Pacific Deterrence Initiative, which demonstrate an emphasis on modernizing infrastructure in the Indo-Pacific region, strengthening the U.S.-led alliance system, and developing high-tech weapons from the U.S. and its allies, are examined. The paper examines the mechanisms of congressional influence on defense spending, priorities for engagement with allies, and measures of economic deterrence.</p>
