The American Electorate in the 2024 Elections
摘要
Based on the results of public opinion polls, the structure of the American electorate in the 2024 election campaign and the main problems of American society that will affect the voters’ choice are examined. The composition of the electorate is characterized by an increase in the proportion of young cohorts—Millennials and “Generation Z”; an increase in the number of people with college-level education; and the growing number of Spanish speakers, primarily from Latin American countries. The problems that have become the main ones in shaping the choice of voting are government inefficiency, inflation, and migration across the southern border. The issue of abortion and the problem of the armed conflict in Ukraine and American aid to this country will continue to play an important role in the campaign.
