Abstract

Military action in the Gaza Strip has once again confirmed that US foreign policy is directly linked to domestic policy. American voters do not support deep involvement in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, despite pro-Israel sentiment among the American population. Moreover, the administration’s position will not be a key factor in voting among either young Americans or American Jews. A negative effect is observed only among American Muslims. They will not vote for the Democratic candidate at the level of 2020. A decline in the popularity of pro-Israel narratives among most Americans is expected only after two generations. Until then, the pro-Israel lobby in the United States will successfully block the few politicians with critical views of Israeli policies in their struggle for power.
