It is proved that the nuclear weapons complex (NWC) created in the Urals united enterprises for the production of components for nuclear charges, design developments, and serial production of nuclear ammunition and ensured their reliable supply in the required quantities to all types of armed forces; a high-tech sector of the economy was created, in which the most advanced achievements of Soviet science were implemented; in the process of creating atomic weapons in the Soviet Union, the economy was modernized using atomic energy, including for peaceful purposes, which became a breakthrough condition for accelerating the transition to postindustrial society and the beginning of the scientific and technological revolution.
