Abstract <p>An analogue of the characteristic function, known from probability theory and mathematical statistics, is used to calculate moments of inertia (inertia integrals) of arbitrary order. The examples considered are bodies bounded by a rectangular parallelepiped, an ellipsoid, and an arbitrary tetrahedron.</p>

Abstract

An analogue of the characteristic function, known from probability theory and mathematical statistics, is used to calculate moments of inertia (inertia integrals) of arbitrary order.
