Controllability of a Linear Stationary System under a Bounded Norm of the Control

Abstract
The problem of steering the trajectory of a linear stationary system from an initial state to an equilibrium state over a given time interval is considered in the case of a controllability matrix with deficient rank and bounded norm of the control. Using a “natural” basis, a controllability criterion for the system is established. The application of this criterion to the construction of optimal processes is demonstrated. Associated computational aspects and the issue of equilibrium state stability are discussed.
