An Experience in the Application of Magnetotelluric Sounding to the Study of Geoelectrical Features at the Ketkino Field of Thermal Waters, Kamchatka
摘要
Abstract—
We consider a method for interpretation of magnetotelluric sounding (MTS) for the area of the Ketkino field of thermal water (KFTW) acquired using a precision station. We describe the relevant methodology and the theoretical part in the analysis of raw materials. We have performed a qualitative estimate of the geoelectric medium based on MT data. Given the results of this estimation and the number of sounding points, we have carried out 1D inversion based on selected curves. Comparison is made between the results of 1D inversion and the geological section on the one hand and the distribution of thermal water temperatures in near-surface medium based on drilling data as described in archival reports on the other.
