Microwave Radiation of a Bolide and the Electrophonic Effect
摘要
The paper presents a substantiated hypothesis about the nature of the electrophonic effect accompanying the passage of a bolide through the Earth’s atmosphere, taking into account observational facts that have been known for many years. To provide a complete understanding of this phenomenon and the attempts to explain it, the paper first briefly presents some existing hypotheses regarding the nature of the electrophonic effect, which consists of the sound accompaniment of the flight of a bolide simultaneously with the light emission. The simultaneous perception of light and sound is the main mystery of this phenomenon. This effect has been known for several centuries and to this day there is no clear explanation for it. In this paper, based on observational facts, the author presents a hypothesis which, in his opinion, does not contradict observations and is associated with the microwave radiation of the bolide during flight.
