Influence of Deformation and Temperature on the Strength and Elastic Characteristics of Directionally Solidified Cobalt Alloy 84KKhSR Rods
摘要
Abstract—The structure and mechanical properties of rods made of the near-eutectic 84KKhSR alloy (Co–Cr–Si–B–Fe system) and produced by zone melting are studied. The formed fine-grained structure oriented along the longitudinal axis of the rod is found to cause a high compressive strength (2600 MPa), three-point bending strength (2200 MPa), and nanohardness (8 GPa). High values of elastic strain (ε = 5–6%) are obtained during both single and cyclic compression. The high level of properties is maintained in the temperature range from –196 to 1000°C.
