Abstract

Tungstenless hard alloys produced from hard-alloy powders prepared by the electroerosive dispersion of wastes from TN20 tungstenless hard alloy are studied by X-ray diffraction to establish specific features of composition formation, as well as structures and properties of the materials in the chain “TN20 metal wastes (chemical and phase compositions)–electroerosive dispersion (chemical composition of the working liquid)–electroerosive hard-alloy powder (chemical and phase compositions)–spark plasma sintering–properties of tungstenless hard alloy (chemical and phase compositions).” The spark plasma sintering of the electroerosive hard-alloy powders under the conditions of fast heating and short working cycle suppresses the grain growth and favors the formation of the nonporous fine-grained structure.
