<p><b>Abstract</b>—The metallurgical features of welded joint formation during resistance spot welding with preliminary relief grooves between 2.5-mm-thick sheet parts made of a D16 alloy are studied. The static and fatigue strengths of the welded joints formed using the developed and basic technologies are compared.</p>

Abstract—The metallurgical features of welded joint formation during resistance spot welding with preliminary relief grooves between 2.5-mm-thick sheet parts made of a D16 alloy are studied. The static and fatigue strengths of the welded joints formed using the developed and basic technologies are compared.
