Description of Martensitic Inelasticity in Terms of a Structural-Simulation Model for the Deformation of Shape Memory Alloys

Abstract—The structural-simulation model developed for the deformation for shape memory alloys has been extended to account for the martensitic inelasticity effects. This model successfully explains the qualitative and quantitative differences between the strain accumulation diagrams for direct transformation and martensitic inelasticity.
