High-Temperature Mass Spectrometry in Thermodynamic Studies of Ionic Liquids
摘要
Abstract
A brief overview of potential applications of high-temperature mass spectrometry (HTMS) for thermodynamic and kinetic studies of evaporation of ionic liquids (ILs) is presented. The results of determination of the composition, vapor pressure, and enthalpies of vaporization of thermally stable and unstable ILs are given. The advantages of HTMS used for determining the thermodynamic parameters of vaporization of thermally unstable ILs compared to other commonly used methods are discussed. A method for quantitative description of the thermal decomposition of ILs by HTMS is proposed.
