Abstract <p>The authors determine the surface texture, thermal, and catalytic properties of samarium-promoted Fe/MgAl<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> CO hydrogenation catalyst prepared in a variety of ways of introducing a promoter into its composition (Sm&#xa0;:&#xa0;Fe ratio = 1&#xa0;:&#xa0;100). It is established that the Sm/Fe/MgAl<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> system, in which samarium is deposited on top of Fe/MgAl<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> catalyst, exhibits the best catalytic properties: selectivity toward hydrocarbons C<sub>5+</sub> = 84.6%, chain growth index α = 0.862, and CO<sub>2</sub> = 3.0%.</p>

Abstract

The authors determine the surface texture, thermal, and catalytic properties of samarium-promoted Fe/MgAl2O4 CO hydrogenation catalyst prepared in a variety of ways of introducing a promoter into its composition (Sm : Fe ratio = 1 : 100). It is established that the Sm/Fe/MgAl2O4 system, in which samarium is deposited on top of Fe/MgAl2O4 catalyst, exhibits the best catalytic properties: selectivity toward hydrocarbons C5+ = 84.6%, chain growth index α = 0.862, and CO2 = 3.0%.
