B-Substituted Anthracenyl and Pyrenyl Derivatives of meta-Carborane: Synthesis and Preliminary Study of Luminescent Properties
摘要
Abstract
The B-substituted anthracenyl and pyrenyl derivatives of meta-carborane containing polycyclic aromatic substituents in the most distant from the carbon atoms position of the carborane cage (position 9) were synthesized by Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling of the corresponding iodo derivative of meta-carborane with polycyclic aryl zinc bromides. Luminescent properties of the synthesized compounds were studied. The anthracene derivative was found to exhibit orange emission in the solid state (film). The solid-state structure of the pyrene-containing derivative 9-pyren-1'-yl-meta-carborane was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
