Abstract <p>Complexation of AgNO<sub>3</sub> with L, where L is urea (Ur), <i>N</i>,<i>N</i>’-dimethylurea (DMUr), and acetamide (AA), in aqueous solution is studied. Three new coordination polymers, [Ag(AA)(μ-NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]<sub><i>n</i></sub> (<b>I</b>), [Ag<sub>2</sub>(μ-DMUr)(μ-NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]<sub><i>n</i></sub> (<b>II</b>), and [Ag<sub>2</sub>(μ-Ur-O,N)<sub>2</sub>(μ-NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]<sub><i>n</i></sub> (<b>III</b>) are isolated and characterized by X-ray diffraction. Silver coordination surrounding is described with the DFT and QTAIM methods. Bond strength and features of Ag(I) interaction with L and nitrate ligands are estimated. Thermal properties of <b>I</b>–<b>III</b> are studied. On the basis of the TGA data, a probable mechanism of thermal destruction is suggested.</p>

Abstract
