Abstract

This paper describes fossil plant remains first discovered in the Late Kazanian localities Chepanikha and Kostovaty in Udmurtia: Sashinia antiqua, Geinitzia sp., and Taenimacutis gomankovii gen. et sp. nov. The new finds allowed the Late Kazanian flora of the Udmurtia Kama region to be correlated more accurately with similar aged floras of the Southern Fore-Urals, and enabled expanded characterization of the Kostovaty floristic assemblage, which characterizes the Late Kazanian of the East European Platform.
