Abstract <p><i>Archaeodyschirius misiae</i> gen. et sp. nov. is described, diagnosed, and illustrated based on a well-preserved specimen from Burmese amber. This new extinct Dyschiriini is compared with the extant congeners. The possible paleobiology of the new taxa is indicated by comparison with the known biology of the extant genera of the tribe.</p>
