Analysis of the Genome and Pathogenic Potential of Bacillus velezensis B4 Isolated from Phalaenopsis Blume (Orchidaceae)
摘要
Bacillus velezensis is actively studied as a promising agent for biocontrol of plant diseases caused by bacteria and fungi. This article presents the results of research on the strain B. velezensis B4, isolated from Phalaenopsis Blume (Orchidaceae) tissues showing signs of bacterial infection. Whole-genome sequencing of the strain was conducted, and genome annotation was performed, revealing clusters for the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. This work demonstrates for the first time the presence of phytopathogenic properties in bacteria of the species B. velezensis. The capability of the strain to destruct plant tissue was demonstrated, which is associated with the presence of carbohydrate-active enzymes. High phytotoxicity of the strain was identified upon inoculation of in vitro potato cultures.
