Reasons for the Modifying Effect of Elemental Phosphorus on the Properties of Palladium Catalysts in the Hydrogenation of 2-Ethyl-9,10-anthraquinone
摘要
Abstract
A formal kinetic study of 2-ethyl-9,10-anthraquinone hydrogenation was carried out over 3% Pd/НZSM-5 and 3% Pd–1.0Р/НZSM-5 catalysts. The qualitative and quantitative composition of the surface layer of the 3% Pd–1.0Р/НZSM-5 sample was determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Based on the analysis of metal dispersion, specific activity in 2-ethyl-9,10-anthraquinone hydrogenation, and the concentration of surface Pd(0) atoms in the Pd–P catalysts, the main reasons for the modifying effect of phosphorus were elucidated.
