The Effect of Nonthermal Atmospheric-Pressure Glow Discharge Plasma on Modification of Corn Seed Surface
摘要
Abstract
The effect of atmospheric-pressure glow discharge on the surface modification of corn seeds has been studied. Short-term exposure of the seed surface to nonthermal plasma leads to a decrease in the contact angle and an increase in the free surface energy. Scanning electron microscopy analysis has shown that nonthermal plasma treatment of seeds causes significant changes on the surface.
