Influence of Water Vapor Impurities on the Characteristics of an Atmospheric-Pressure Glow Discharge in Argon
摘要
Abstract
The paper presents the results of modeling an atmospheric-pressure glow discharge in the inert gas argon with water vapor admixture. All the main plasma parameters have been obtained, as well as the dynamics of concentrations of water degradation products and various types of ions. The formation of hydrogen peroxide, which disintegrates over long periods of time from several seconds, is shown, as well as the formation of molecular and atomic hydrogen as a result of the dissociation of water molecules. It is shown that at different times, depending on the current density, various options for dominant ion types are possible in different areas of the discharge.
