Solid-State Synthesis of Water-Dispersible Systems Based on Chitosan and Evaluation of Their Antibacterial Properties
摘要
In this paper, we describe mechanochemical approach as an environmentally friendly method to obtain a number of products based on chitosan. Their antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli was assessed. It was shown for the first time that both the original chitosan obtained by the mechanochemical method and its derivatives and copolymers with biocompatible synthetic and natural polymers have moderate activity against Gram-positive bacteria and weak activity against Gram-negative bacteria. The proposed approach is promising for the creation of biologically active solid compositions capable of being processed into final products due to ultradispersion and gelation in water with the possibility of use in the form of hydrogels, sprays, sponge and film materials.
