Boreal Amphipods Leucothoe spinicarpa (Amphipoda: Leucothoidae) North of 80° N: Another Evidence of Atlantization?
摘要
Abstract
Boreal amphipods (Leucothoe spinicarpa) have been collected on the continental slope of the Barents Sea sector of the Arctic Ocean, significantly north of its previously known range. A genetic analysis has confirmed the species identity. This record provides further evidence of the expansion of boreal fauna into the high latitudes of Arctic Ocean, a process driven by the ongoing atlantization of the region.
