Abstract <p>During an interinstitutional expedition to Zavyalov Island, a desalinated lagoon at the northern tip of the island was studied, as a result of which new information was obtained on the composition of the ichthyofauna and biological state of fishes inhabiting this water area; genetic, karyological, and parasitological materials were also collected. The results of the study make it possible to compare the composition of the ichthyofauna of the studied lagoon with that in 2019 and to assess the environmental conditions of fishes there and possible ways of their entry from the surrounding sea.</p>
