Morphostructural Features and Seismic Deformations of the 1931 Fuyun Earthquake (M = 8.0) in the Chinese Part of the Altai Mountains
摘要
Abstract
The results of a study of the epicentral zone of the August 8, 1931 Fuyun earthquake (M = 8.0) have been presented. In addition to the main rupture formed during the seismic event, accompanying relief forms: small tectonic depressions and uplifts, block displacements of significant area and volume, deformed archaeological sites, and secondary, including subparallel faults have been identified and described. The degree of their manifestation indicates the ongoing seismic activity in this part of the Altai Mountains.
