Findings suggest that the study of L2 teacher resilience is focused in the Asian context and some of the major thematic areas comprise positive psychology, teacher well-being, coping strategies, and resilience during COVID-19. The systematic synthesis demonstrated that the concept of resilience is complex and either in personal, social, or professional spheres and is inextricably linked to well-being, enjoyment, and burnout prevention. Quantitative studies mostly utilized survey and SEM design and qualitative studies were characterized by the emphasis of coping strategies, reflexivity and collegial support.
