摘要

From the perspective of tourist-host interaction, the study explores the dual impact of the relationship between interaction intensity and interaction type (social-oriented interaction, service-oriented interaction) on tourists’ pro-environmental behavior intention (PEBI). The results show that in the social-oriented interaction, a higher level of interaction can effectively stimulate tourists’ emotional solidarity, thus enhancing their PEBI. In service-oriented interaction, the higher the interaction intensity, the more psychological entitlement the tourists would be stimulated to have, which would in turn reduce their willingness to engage in PEBI. By comprehensively exploring the mechanisms by which interaction affects tourists’ PEBI, this study constructs a theoretical model of the effects of interaction type and interaction intensity on tourists’ PEBI, which provides targeted environmental management strategies for destination managers to help guide tourists to actively protect the environment, thereby promoting the sustainable development of scenic spots.
