<p>This study examines the implications of the EU Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EU-2023/1115), a 2023 statute governing trade in deforestation-linked commodities such as tea, coffee, spices, rubber, and timber. The regulation’s stringent due diligence and traceability norms pose significant challenges and open new opportunities for India’s agricultural exports. It analyzes India’s evolving compliance frameworks and maps the roles of key stakeholders within the agri-trade ecosystem. The study proposes a comprehensive digital governance model across all supply chain stages to ensure regulatory conformity, enhance traceability, and promote sustainable exports aligned with global environmental and sustainability benchmarks.</p>
