Repensando el desarrollo: Hacia una justicia cognitiva en la generación del conocimiento
摘要
The article proposes a critical review of the epistemological structures that have perpetuated the inequalities between the Global North and South, focusing on the coloniality of knowledge. It examines how the dominant paradigms, originated mainly in the Global North, have subordinated the knowledge and experiences of the Global South, generating negative impacts in development policies. The article advocates for a decolonization of knowledge in development studies, recognizing the importance of the epistemologies of the South, that reflect valuable local and traditional knowledge to face the present challenges in a sustainable and inclusive manner.
