<p>Dream11, a leading virtual gaming platform for fantasy sports, has experienced substantial revenue growth, particularly amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which curtailed outdoor sports due to mobility restrictions and led to a surge in interest in fantasy sports. This study examines the antecedents and consequences of engaging with various sports on the Dream11 platform, including cricket, football (soccer), baseball, basketball, and handball. Using bibliometric analysis and statistical methods, the research explores the dynamics of fantasy sports participation and its impact on revenue generation for online gaming platforms. Additionally, a survey was conducted to collect primary data from Dream11 users, along with the validation of the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) results through statistical analysis. The findings reveal limited global academic engagement in fantasy sports research and highlight that cricket is the most popular sport with the highest rating and priority among male participants on Dream11. Interestingly, the inverse correlation among sports-based factors suggests that satisfaction and areas for improvement are negatively linked. Furthermore, insights into Dream11’s revenue streams demonstrate the platform’s capacity to leverage strategic revenue management and diversification to sustain growth in the virtual gaming market. This study offers strategic recommendations for developing and sustaining fantasy sports platforms, emphasizing the importance of optimizing revenue streams and adapting to evolving consumer preferences.</p>
