<p>The COVID-19 pandemic provided a favorable ground for exercising new forms of foreign policies through development assistance and health diplomacy. As a medium-sized state, Poland provides an interesting case for analyzing how health diplomacy can be used in foreign policies by states not categorized as major powers. The aim of the research is to analyze the Polish government’s diplomatic efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic with a specific focus on health diplomacy and placing its particular form of health development assistance in the broader context of the strategic goals of Polish foreign policy. The article argues that the COVID-19 pandemic fostered using health diplomacy in the form of health development assistance. The main research question refers to how the new developments corresponded with the general strategic goals of Polish foreign policies.</p>
