<p>Ionic liquids (ILs) have been advantaged and promising candidates for flexible ionic conductors. This review comprehensively summarizes ionic liquid-based ionic conductors (ILICs), including ionic conductive hydrogels, ionogels, and liquid-free ionic conductive elastomers. Furthermore, recent strategies for improving the performance of ILICs, and their applications, including energy harvesting, flexible sensors, and others are overviewed. Finally, an outlook is provided on the challenges and opportunities for ILICs in ionotronic applications.</p>
