摘要

Manometric ineffective esophageal motility (IEM) remains poorly understood. Patients who underwent ≥2 HRMs with ≥1 demonstrating IEM (CCv4.0) were included. Of 20 patients with IEM on initial HRM, 75% had IEM and 25% normal motility on subsequent HRM. Twelve patients had normal motility on initial HRM and IEM on subsequent HRM. No patients with IEM progressed to a major motility disorder. IEM appears to have a non-progressive manometric disease course.
