<p>Understanding the effects of cover crops (CCs) and soil amendments on nitrogen distribution in soil aggregates under no-till management remains limited. This study examined aggregate size fractions, stability indices, and nitrogen distribution in topsoil (0–15 cm) under CCs and fertilization treatments, including poultry litter (PL1), inorganic fertilizer (FR1), and their combinations with flue gas desulfurization (FGD) gypsum and lignite (PL2, FR2), plus a control (CK). Results showed that microaggregates (0.25–0.053 mm) dominated (38.3–50.1%) and contained the largest nitrogen stock (mean: 1.09 Mg ha<sup>−1</sup>), contributing significantly to bulk soil nitrogen (25.2–41.9%) in a no-till rainfed corn system. CCs had no significant effect but PL1 improved nitrogen content and stock in 1–0.5 mm aggregates, while PL2 enhanced bulk soil nitrogen and stock in &gt;2 mm aggregates. Overall, soil amendments, particularly PL with FGD gypsum and lignite, stabilized aggregates and increased nitrogen accumulation, supporting soil health. Long-term studies are needed to assess CCs benefits.</p>
