<p>The hospital accreditation system in Iran, overseen by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, was established in 2012 and has undergone multiple revisions. However, none of these versions have included specific accreditation standards for burn care. This study aims to adapt hospital accreditation standards specifically for burn care in Iran. This study employed an adaptation research design to contextualize burn care accreditation standard for the Iranian healthcare system. Initially, a comparative review of existing accreditation standards from international burn associations was conducted using purposive sampling. Through this search, the British Burn Association (BBA) National Standards for Provision and Outcomes in Adult and Pediatric Burn Care were selected for adaptation. The initial draft of the accreditation standard was prepared by the research team and subsequently presented to the expert panel for review and final approval. Following expert consensus, which was achieved through the RAND Appropriateness Method (RAM), the standard was finalized. The <i>Burn Care and Treatment Management Standard</i> was adapted for burn care accreditation in Iran. It was incorporated into the <i>Clinical General Care domain</i>, within the <i>Care and Treatment category</i> of the national hospital accreditation standards in Iran. This standard comprises five measures, each accompanied by its respective criteria. The adaptation of hospital accreditation standard specifically for burn care in Iran, along with their associated measures and criteria, provides a structured framework for the delivery, evaluation, and monitoring of burn care services. This framework can guide the provision of safe, effective, and high-quality care for patients and their families and can serve as an initial basis for future studies, allowing for refinement and revision in subsequent versions. Following approval by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran, these standards can be applied to the accreditation of burn care setting.</p>
