A global hourly electricity demand dataset for studying power system resiliency during COVID-19
摘要
While numerous studies have analysed pandemic-induced load changes, a standardised, high-resolution dataset capturing the hourly typical load profiles across countries remains a critical gap. This paper introduces the Global Hourly Electricity Demand Dataset, which compiles normalised hourly typical daily load profiles for multiple countries. The dataset was derived from publicly available data and was structured across three distinct temporal periods: Pre-, During, and Post-Lockdown. The periods were systematically defined using the Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT) Stringency Index, ensuring a consistent cross-national methodology. Data validation was performed using independent t-tests, confirming statistically significant changes in load profiles across all periods.
