KORE-Map 1.2: Korean medicine Omics Resource Extension Map on transcriptome data of Qi-related herbal medicine
摘要
Although traditional herbal medicine has demonstrated efficacy in treating various diseases, the precise mechanisms of action and specific indications for many therapies remain largely uncharacterized. Analyzing comprehensive gene expression profiles induced by herbal medicines offers a powerful strategy to uncover latent therapeutic potential and underlying biological mechanisms. In line with these efforts, our research team has been constructing standardized drug-induced transcriptome datasets since 2022 by applying representative herbal prescriptions and individual herbs to human cell lines derived from four major organs: the lung, liver, colon, and brain. Transcriptomes were generated from four human cell lines treated with water- or 70% ethanol extracts at three concentrations, in triplicate, producing 1,080 profiles. The Korean Medicine Resource Extension Map 1.2, the third iteration of this comprehensive resource, contains pharmacological data for herbal medicines targeting Qi-related disorders.
